Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR) applies as of 25 May 2018.

On 31 July 2018 the national law providing for the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and for the free movement of such data (Law 125(I)/2018), was published in the official gazette of the Cyprus Republic.

In the context of compliance of the Cyprus University of Technology with the General Regulation 2016/679 and our National Legislation (Law 125 (I) / 2018), the Cyprus University of Technology has appointed Data Protection Officer, Ms. Maria Ioannou, Officer of the Cyprus University of Technology.
