Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Our research aims in advancing knowledge at the intersection of social entrepreneurship, family business/SMEs, and strategic entrepreneurship. We explore how innovative practices within family-run businesses and small to medium enterprises (SMEs), cooperatives and non-profit organisations can drive both economic growth and social impact, with an emphasis on creating sustainable business models. We focus on issues of sustainability in family businesses and SMEs, looking into how entrepreneurship and innovation can help operationalise sustainable practices at the level of the firm and its regional area. Additionally, our work delves into the role of innovation and education, examining how collaborative efforts can foster greater cooperation and resilience in communities. By integrating strategic entrepreneurship with a focus on social value creation, we aim to contribute to the development of socially responsible and economically viable business ecosystems.
