Christina Georgiadi is a Special Teaching Staff, of the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism (AHT), Cyprus University of Technology since October 2022.
Christina Georgiadi holds a Higher Diploma in International Tourism with a specialization – Hotel and Restaurant Management, Postgraduate Certificate in Tourism and Hospitality Education and Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership Management. She is also accredited as a Certified Hospitality Educator from AHMA.
During her 30+year career (1992 -2022) at the Higher Hotel Institute Cyprus as a Hospitality Instructor and Senior Culinary Arts Instructor, she has taught extensively and she had the opportunity to train and develop students both in theoretical and practical subjects including: Product Identification, Purchasing and Storing, Back Office Stock Control Systems, Baking and Pastry and Advanced Cooking Techniques.
She has led the culinary competition teams for several years with great achievements, including the team’s highest achievement during the 12th International Culinary Competition of Southern Europe in February 2023 in Thessaloniki – The team received a Gold Medal and a Trophy – “Best School of the Year 2023”.
Furthermore, she was the coordinator of the continual education of the HHIC Teaching Staff and with the collaboration with the Cyprus Academy of Public Administration has organized numerous seminars for the development of the Teaching Staff, both inhouse and seminars at the Academy.

Francesca Afxentiou holds a Master Degree in Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning and a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management. Since January 2023, she is a Special Teaching Staff at the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism, at the Cyprus University of Technology. She worked at the Higher Hotel Institute Cyprus (HHIC) from September 2003 to December 2022, where she was Hospitality Master. Her responsibilities include the teaching of courses in both programmes of study – Hospitality and Tourism Management and Culinary Arts.
She has an extensive experience in the hospitality and tourism industry as she had worked in the hospitality industry of Cyprus more than 10 years. Her background is mostly at the Front Office Department and Accounting. She has also an experience as project manager of KA1 and KA2 EU projects.

Margaritis Antoniades is currently a member of the Special Teaching Staff (09/22 – today), at the Department of Hotel and Tourism Management, Academy of Hospitality and Tourism Professions (HHIC) of the Cyprus University of Technology. Mr. Antoniades holds a Bachelor (B.Sc.) in Hospitality Administration, obtained from Florida State University and a Master in Business Administration with specialization in Public Administration obtained from the Mediterranean Institute of Management in Nicosia.
For the period between September 2005 – August 2022 holded the position of Hospitality Instructor at the Higher Hotel Institute of Cyprus. His responsibilities included the teaching of courses in both programs of studies at the Institute – in Hotel and Tourism Management and Culinary Arts Programs – such as Food and Beverage Management, Kitchen Management, Menu Planning, Food and Beverage Controls & Systems, Hospitality and Professionalism and other related courses. Other duties included the coordination of the committee of external lecturers and the coordination of the Core Learning committee of the Institute. He was also a member of the committee for the coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the practical training of the students in the Hotel, Food and Tourism Industry, participated in Final Year Project evaluation committees and was a member of the Institute’s food and beverage control committee.
Mr. Antoniades holds an extensive experience in Hotel Management since he has worked in the hospitality industry of Cyprus for eighteen years (03/1987 – 08/2005), holding at first supervisory and later management positions. His duties included the smooth operation of all hotel departments, the recruitment, hiring and training of staff and even monitoring their performance with emphasis on the management of the food and beverage department, having an ongoing focus on profitability and growth of that department.

Jeanne Savva holds a B.Sc. Honours degree in Microbiology and Genetic Engineering from the University of the Orange Free State (Republic of South Africa), is a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health and is a Certified Hospitality Educator. Since January 2023, she has been working at the Cyprus University of Technology as a member of the Special Teaching Staff.
Jeanne worked at the Higher Hotel Institute Cyprus (HHIC) from September 1984 to December 2022, where she was Head of Hospitality and Tourism Studies. Her responsibilities were to plan, coordinate and supervise educational aspects of the Culinary Arts programme of studies. She was a member of the Academic Council, chairman of the Culinary Arts Programme Council, a member of the Erasmus+ team, and a member of the student Final Year Project Evaluation Committee. Furthermore, she coordinated the following committees: the HHIC Student Training Restaurant, the HHIC Student Cafeteria, Educational Excursions, Educational Competitions and the Pastry and Baking Project. She was also involved in the preparation and evaluation of tenders, the preparation of the Academic Calendar, Class Schedules and the annual graduation ceremony. She also taught courses offered by the two programmes of study the Institute offered, namely, Culinary Arts and Hospitality and Tourism Management. She has experience working in European Funded Programmes as a researcher.

Elena Iosif holds a diploma in Housekeeping Course and has a 15 year working experience in Hospitality Industry (1988-2003) in Housekeeping profession. Since January 2023, she is a Special Teaching Staff at the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism, at the Cyprus University of Technology. She worked at the Higher Hotel Institute Cyprus (HHIC) from September 2003 to December 2022, where she was Housekeeping Instructor. Her responsibilities included the teaching of courses in Housekeeping and Occupational Health and Safety. Also, she is responsible for the industrial placement of students and for organizing and supervising cleaning activities in the Academy.

Ioannis Stefanou is a distinguished figure in the world of hospitality, celebrated for his journey from student to seasoned professional. His story is a testament to dedication, education, and a passion for industry.
Born with an innate love for hospitality, Ioannis Stefanou embarked on his educational path at the Higher Hotel Institute of Cyprus. Here, he laid the foundation for his future in the field, mastering the intricacies of hotel management spending abroad a semester completing courses for International Tourism at Tampere, Technological University of Applied Sciences in Finland. Building on this knowledge, he went on to complete his Bachelor's degree in Hotel, Events, and Tourism Management at European University.
Armed with a strong academic background, Ioannis set out to gain hands-on experience and broaden his horizons. His career took him to exotic destinations such as Dubai and the Bahamas, where he immersed his self in the world of international hospitality. Over the years, he honed his skills, cultivated an understanding of diverse cultures, and developed a keen sense of service excellence.
Today, Ioannis Stefanou stands as a dynamic and accomplished professional, holding the dual roles of a Restaurant Manager in a 5 star luxury hotel and a Hospitality Instructor. In his rosle as a restaurant manager, he brings to life his passion for creating memorable dining experiences, orchestrating seamless operations, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
In his capacity as a hospitality instructor, Ioannis shares his wealth of knowledge and practical insights with the next generation of industry leaders. His commitment to nurturing talent and passing on his expertise is a testament to his dedication to the industry's growth.

Maria Karoula is a Special Scientist (German Language) at the Language Centre of Cyprus University of Technology. She completed her studies in German Philology, History of the German Literature and the Political Sciences at the Philosophy Faculty of the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technology University of Aachen in Germany.
At the same University she has completed an MA Degree ( Magistra Artium) in Linguistics .Her graduate work focused on the “ Dialect and Official Language. Difficulties of the dialect speakers at the proses of learning the official language”.
She has worked as a teacher of German language at the private College “The CTL Eurocollege”(1996-2012(., at different private Language Institutes, at the Government Educational Institutes of Limassol and at the Government Secondary Education with contract ( 2012-2016 ) in many Lyceums of Cyprus. She has also worked at the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus as Advisor of German language (2015-2016).
She has taken part to educational seminars organized by the Ministry of Education, the Association of Teachers of German Language and the Goethe Institute. These seminars concern new teaching methods.
She is a foundation member and the Secretary of the Association of the Teachers of German Language and Philology.
