This module concerns the study of how people interact with technology while using digital products and services, to design effective and accessible user interfaces. Specifically, it focuses on the research, analysis, and interpretation of human needs, limitations, and preferences of technology use, the design and development of digital interfaces, as well as their evaluation based on fundamental usability principles and hands-on user-centered methods (i.e. think-aloud, biometrics, eye-tracking and other).
The digital products and services of interest stem from areas such as communication and collaboration, educational technology, e-health and well-being, and affective computing, and can integrate emerging new technologies such as wearables, IoT, AR and AI.
