Dr Elias Gravanis is a Mathematical Physicist. Dr Gravanis received his BSc in Physics from the University of Athens in 1997, his MA in Physics from Columbia University of New York in 2000 and his PhD from the University of London (King’s College London) in 2006. Since 2011 he works as a researcher and instructor in the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics in the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT). He is also a member of the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence at CUT.

Dr Gravanis current research interests include: fluid mechanics and turbulence, non-classical equilibrium statistical mechanics, fluid dynamics in porous media, subsurface hydrology, petroleum geomechanics, stochastic methods in geotechnical engineering.
